Therapy for Life Transitions and Stress

Life rarely stays the same. Even welcome changes—like a new job, a move, or becoming a parent or grandparent—can bring unexpected stress. Other transitions, such as relationship changes, health challenges, retirement, caring for an aging parent, or the loss of someone important, can leave you feeling overwhelmed.

Big changes naturally stir up big feelings. If you’re noticing increased anxiety, trouble sleeping, mood changes, or simply a sense that you’re “not yourself,” you’re not alone. You don't need to walk this journey on your own.

How Therapy Helps
Therapy offers a steady place to pause, reflect, and make sense of what’s happening.

Together, we can:

Process the emotions and uncertainties that come with change

Identify and build on your personal strengths

Develop coping strategies to reduce stress and improve daily well-being

Reconnect with your values so you can move forward with clarity and confidence

Care that Fits into Your Life

All sessions are held virtually, so support is accessible wherever you are—at home or anywhere you have a private space. You won’t have to worry about traffic, commuting, or scheduling challenges; you can focus fully on the work we’re doing together.

My Approach

My background in geropsychology means that I have extensive experience supporting adults of all ages facing transitions and stress. My style is warm, practical, and evidence-based, drawing on approaches that are shown to be effective.

What to Expect

In our first meetings, we’ll explore the transitions or stressors you’re facing and what you’d most like to change or understand. We’ll set clear goals and create a tailored plan.  Each session is a space to talk openly, gain perspective, and practice new skills at your own pace.

Change is inevitable—struggling through it alone doesn’t have to be.
